What's up doc
Second opus for Carbon Silicon. During the concert of the band at the Trabendo, we discovered the song. From the first notes we knew that we would contact the band next day to produce a new
animation and then satisfy a new fancy… Thanks Mke and Tony !

Vixen
When Vixen came, we had never worked on electro music. When we listened to the track, we understood that we would have the possibility to go in a universe very different than in the others
animations that we have done. We could go further in the delirium but we reasoned to keep the music video releasable.

When Cooking Vinyl sent us the album « Flat Pack Philosophy » for
that we could choose a track, Sound of a Gun appeared to us as an evidence. Steve Diggle’s riff gave us a full of images in mind. We’ve done 2 versions of the animation because
a first one has been considered as too aggressive, (we had put some shots of Laurent with shooting with 38 special) but finally the version kept for the Buzzcocks website was this one !

Blues ain’t nothin’ but a pimp is the first episode of the John Lee’s series.
We didn’t know first that there would be many videos. The most difficult shot was the scene with John lee progressing toward the camera avoiding the vehicles being embedded into each others. We
had to composite many layers due to multiplicity of polygons in the scene. The cell shading render was not easy to parameter to have a good visibility of the different objects
in the scenes. We knew that we would win the game if these points would be resolved !

Bloody has been a heavy production, with not less than 15 characters and 5
different backgrounds. The final render is a mix between cell shading and a classic 3D render. Our main difficulty was to model the women characters, Eshe and Tasha. Our first tests were not
really nice !! We hope they don’t blame us for this ;)
